Which fuels does the Water Detection kit work with?
All diesel and biodiesel fuel types, including bio-diesel blends. For gasoline, use the Etho Check kit.
Do I need any lab equipment or training?
No. It's a DIY field test — every pouch contains what you need and full step-by-step instructions. Read the result in minutes at the tank.
What happens if the test comes back positive for water?
Treat it as a signal that further testing is needed. Mail a sample to FOI Laboratories using the Life-Safety Fuel Quality Sample Kit, or order an LSD 103 / NFPA 110 testing package. Most lab tests are completed within 72 hours of receipt, and results can be tracked and trended online in the FOI System.
